I have, for the last couple of years since my son has been at school, invested in parties that cost $20 a head and are so much fun - the sports parties, the bowling parties etc. This year I got back to basics and held a pool party in our complex's swimming pool, with some relay races and the like. It was SO MUCH FUN and so not expensive, and the kids had an amazing time. Fortunately my sons birthday falls during the most beautiful time of the year - mid january - so its always warm and sunny. This year I am thinking of going back to basic s and having a picnic in the local park, and playing some hide and seek, pass the parcel, pin the tail etc.
What are the other classic birthday party games from our childhood?
