Just thought I would ask around & see when people went back to work after having bubs- whether it be work @ home or work elsewhere....

With no. 1 I went back to work 1-2 shifts a week when bub was around 5 months old & slowly worked back up to 5 shifts & with no. 2 I went back 3-4 shifts at 13 weeks, if I have another one I want to cherish the time more if financially viable & try to have a year off.

I went back 3 shifts per week till my son was 6mths old, then full time.

Never easy and felt i spent the next 4 years exhausted and my home never was 'perfect' like my friends.

Being organised was what saved me from insanity (even if i was washing dishes at midnight)

Next time, i do not want to return at all. I want to be a 'P&C' mum as my son calls them (the ladies who know everyone and everything).

I went back after my son was 6 months old and no longer breastfeeding, for three days a week. Thankfully I have fabulous in-laws that love my son to bits and made sure he was bathed and fed before I picked him up.
I then went back full-time when he turned one but am unsure what to do when baby no. 2 arrives. One for me to ponder.

yeah, its so hard to decide whether working is the right thing to do & how long to work for each week- I think it is hard in society today as we have to work to live- instead of live to work.

I just went back to work this week for a day a week with my daughter at 4 months. I quite enjoyed a day off from the stress of home. My husband and mother looked after her and I reckon they really enjoyed it!
I'll increase this to 2 days a week next month and I have the flexibility of working some time from home which is great!
