Can anyone tell me why babies can be happy all day long but as soon as it gets dark they get wind? My mum tells me its because they guzzle their first bottle of the day but I amhesitant to believe this, it couldn't really take 12 hours before they have wind....

Hi everyone. I am new to this as well and just noticed a message about wind at night. I remember when we had our first baby (he's now 3) we were advised a number of times that wind takes about 12 hours to get from "one end to the other" ... this is why babies will often wake in the night with wind if they didnt burp properly after the early evening feed. I hope this makes sense and hope it reaches the poor mama needing advice!
